Ascensie is open to testers. No waiting list, no invite code, no price tag. You get a working environment; we ask you to tell us what you think of it. Here is what is in it, as honestly as we can put it.
How it is put together
You create a personal account, and alongside it as many team accounts as you like. A team account is a shared workplace with members, roles and permissions. Everything you record belongs to one of those accounts, and nobody outside it can reach it.
Inside an account you switch on the modules you need. Switch one off and it leaves the menu, and the screens behind it are genuinely closed too. So you start small and add as you go.
What is in there now
CRM. Contacts, companies and tasks, with custom fields and custom objects for when the standard ones do not fit. Lists you filter and save as views, and contacts you import from a file.
Shared inbox. One mailbox for the team. Email, form submissions and chat conversations arrive in the same list and attach themselves to the contact who sent them, with the whole history underneath.
Pipelines. Deals moving through stages across boards, plus a single list of everything in flight.
Calendar. Schedule appointments, link them to a contact or a deal, and drag them when things move.
Meeting notetaker. For an appointment with a video link, a bot joins, announces that it is recording, and afterwards leaves a written report with action points on the appointment and on the contact's page.
Payments. Quotes on a canvas you lay out yourself, invoices with VAT, credit notes that properly reverse an invoice you already sent, e-invoicing, payment pages, and shipping for physical products.
Events. Sell tickets and scan them at the door.
Marketing. Campaigns and mailings, with an email builder where you drag blocks onto a canvas.
Sites. A website builder for your company site.
Forms. A builder on a canvas, fields your CRM already knows, file uploads from visitors, questions that adapt to earlier answers, and a message back to whoever filled it in.
Chat. One line of code on your own site gives visitors a chat window. Conversations land in the same inbox as your email, with opening hours and a message for when nobody is around.
Assistant. An AI assistant beside your work that can look things up and prepare them. Anything that actually changes something asks for your approval first.
What to expect as a tester
It works, and it is not finished. In practice that means:
- Screens can change shape between one week and the next, usually because someone told us the old shape was wrong.
- You will hit rough edges. A button in an odd place, a message that says too little, a list that sorts differently than you expected.
- New parts arrive in pieces rather than in one big jump.
- Your data stays. We do not wipe accounts to start over.
What we will not do: name a date when it is finished, or promise a price that does not exist yet. If there is anything to say about either, you will hear it from us before anything changes.
What we ask in return
Only your judgement. The most useful things you can tell us:
- Where you got stuck, and what you were trying to do at that moment.
- Which part you expected to find and did not.
- What you still do in another program, and why it works better there.
- Where it takes too many clicks for what you get.
Criticism is worth more to us than compliments, especially the kind that starts with "I don't understand why". That almost always points at something we have stopped being able to see.
Taking part
