The CRM sits in the sidebar under CRM. Above the list is a row of tabs, one per kind of record. A new workspace starts with two: contacts and companies.
Contacts live in a workspace, not in your personal account. If you do not have one yet, create it first.
Click New Contact in the top right. If the list is still empty, the same button sits in the middle of the screen, inviting you to create your first one.
The dialog that opens only asks for the required fields. That is on purpose: you fill in the rest on the record's detail page, where there is more room and you can see what else is going on. Confirm and the record is created.
Open the contact and you get three columns.
On the left are its details: name, email address, phone number, address and whatever else you filled in. Every field is editable in place. Below that are the Tags you put on it and the Linked records, such as the company the person works at.
In the middle are the conversations from your inbox and the notes your team added.
On the right is a card with tabs. Which ones you see depends on the modules that are on: Tasks, Deals, Appointments, Sales with its quotes and invoices, Events, and always Activity, which holds the history of this record.
This is also where you set the Owner, the colleague who looks after this customer, and the Language. That language decides which language email, invoices and payment pages for this contact go out in.
Above the list are Add filter, Columns, Sort and Group. Show the list as a table, as cards, or as a board if you group by a field with a fixed set of values.
Found an arrangement you want again? Save it as a new view. It appears as a tab next to the default list, for your colleagues too.
Select rows and you can add or remove a tag, set one field for the whole selection, delete the selection, or export it to CSV.
You do not have to type them all in. A form on your website creates a record, so does an order on a payment page, and a message from an unknown sender in your inbox can be turned into a contact in one click.
What the CRM should know about your customers is up to you. Go to Settings → CRM → Objects, pick an object, open its fields and add one. You choose a label and a type: text, number, amount, date, date and time, checkbox, select, status, phone, email, URL or rating.
The same screen renames the objects themselves. A fresh workspace names them in English, and you can change that to whatever your team actually says.
Tags are managed under Settings → CRM → Tags, and the links between kinds of records under Relations.
